Le Plateau-Mont-Royal

The Plateau-Mont-Royal takes its name from its location on relatively flat terrain north of Sherbrooke Street and downtown.

The Plateau is a recent neighborhood with streets lined with charming terraced houses. The main streets Boul. Mont-Royal and Saint-Denis Street are abounded in cafes, cozy restaurants, lively bars, contemporary galleries and theaters. Nearby, with views of the Mount Royal of the same name, this Park features breathtaking trails and a lake.

The Plateau is also home of the peaceful La Fontaine Park where you can find numerous ponds surrounded by lawns. The plateau has the highest concentration of youths living there, with an average age of 34.
